“Nature Angel” was the second of the angel Joanne painted. This beautiful image was painted in Connecticut where she lived at the time, surrounded by sixty acres of woods and fern groves.

   
  A real fern was pressed into the original painting for the angel’s collar. A fern stem was also used to carve the details into her wings and hair.    
   
           
“Nature Angel” is here to mind us of how fragile our earth is and important it is for us to respect nature.
