The
original painting of “Light of the Universe” measures seven
feet high by four feet wide. Joanne used thousands of pieces of mica
from the earth added to the wings to illuminate it and crushed minerals
were added to other areas of the painting.
It
was used as a backdrop at the United Nations at a conference to honor
a former president of Costa Rica.
There
is holographic foil stamped onto the lithograph. When light hits the foil,
it changes color as you walk by.
